NVIDIA's board partners have readied their custom GeForce RTX 5050 designs, bringing base and OC models with higher frequencies than the reference model.
ASUS Brings Prime and Dual RTX 5050 GPUs, GIGABYTE Shows Gaming and WindForce Designs, MSI Has the Shadow, Gaming, and Ventus Models, While ZOTAC Intros Twin Edge and SOLO RTX 5050s
Tomorrow might be the day when NVIDIA launches its GeForce RTX 5050 officially. While originally it was planned to launch in the second half of July, the recent report indicated that it's hastening the GPU's launch a few weeks earlier. While we have seen a couple of RTX 5050s from a few of NVIDIA's board partners, it looks like almost everyone is now ready to release their GPUs tomorrow.
ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI, and ZOTAC have prepared their custom designs for the RTX 5050 as can be seen in their GPU catalog on official websites. From ASUS, we have three RTX 5050s:
- Prime GeForce RTX 5050: Up to 2602 MHz
- Prime GeForce RTX 5050 OC: Up to 2707 MHz
- Dual GeForce RTX 5050: Up to 2602 MHz
Both Prime designs offer a triple fan cooling solution but the Dual RTX 5050 has a dual fan configuration. The non-OC models bring a boost clock of up to 2602 MHz but the Prime RTX 5050 OC brings a big jump of over 125MHz. GIGABYTE has three models for the RTX 5050 as well:
- GeForce RTX 5050 GAMING OC: Up to 2632 MHz
- GeForce RTX 5050 WINDFORCE OC: Up to 2587 MHz
- GeForce RTX 5050 OC Low Profile: Up to 2587 MHz
Looks like GIGABYTE didn't push its RTX 5050 GPUs too hard and have retained nearly 2.6 GHz boost clock on its OC editions. So, expect these cards to be cheaper than the ASUS variants and as you can see, the WindForce OC edition is the most powerful one in GIGABYTE's catalog with a much higher boost clock and a triple fan design. Moving to the next vendor, we have six editions of RTX 5050 from MSI:
- GeForce RTX 5050 Shadow 2X : Up to 2587 MHz
- GeForce RTX 5050 Shadow 2X OC : Up to 2617 MHz
- GeForce RTX 5050 Gaming: Up to 2587 MHz
- GeForce RTX 5050 Gaming OC: Up to 2647 MHz
- GeForce RTX 5050 Ventus 2X: Up to 2587 MHz
- GeForce RTX 5050 Ventus 2X OC: Up to 2617 MHz
Lastly, we have four different editions of the GeForce RTX 5050 from ZOTAC, featuring dual fan and single fan configurations:
- Gaming GeForce RTX 5050 SOLO: Up to 2572 MHz
- Gaming GeForce RTX 5050 Twin Edge: Up to 2572 MHz
- Gaming GeForce RTX 5050 Twin Edge OC: Up to 2602 MHz
- Gaming GeForce RTX 5050 Twin Edge OC White: Up to 2602 MHz
ZOTAC has the lowest clocks for its OC editions and it's bringing the entry-level SOLO edition for compact systems, featuring just a single fan design. All of these GPUs will start at a base price of $249 but can go nearly as high as $299. It's likely that NVIDIA and its board partners will release these on 1st July but it could take some time for these GPUs to have better availability in the market.
