ASUS has unveiled its brand new ExpertBook P5 laptop which comes equipped with Intel's next-gen Lunar Lake CPUs.

ASUS teased its first Intel Lunar Lake CPUs at Computex 2024 and it looks like the company is now moving towards an official introduction. The first Lunar Lake laptop that the company is listed right now is the ExpertBook P5 which comes in a sleek and modern design with lots of standout features so let's get started.

The ASUS ExpertBook P5 laptop features an undisclosed Intel Lunar Lake "Core Ultra 200V" CPU. It is stated that the processor offers cutting-edge AI capabilities with over 45 TOPS from the NPU and over 100 total platform TOPS when combining the CPU, GPU, & NPU. We know from our deep dive that Lunar Lake offers up to 48 AI TOPS while the GPU offers up to 67 TOPS for a whopping 120 AI TOPS in total.

Other specifications disclosed include up to 32 GB of onboard LPDDR5X memory clocked at 8533 MT/s, up to 3 TB of PCIe 4.0 Dual SSD storage, up to WiFi 7 (802.11be) support and a keyboard that features larger keycaps and a 1.5mm key travel. The display itself is a 14" anti-glare panel with 2.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. All of this combined, you are getting a sleek laptop that has a starting weight of 1.3 kg, all packaged within a premium all-metal body design and you also get a 180-degree lay-flat hinge.

ASUS is also using a brand new cooling technology which makes sure that the laptop is getting the optimal amount of cooling whether the laptop's lid is open or closed. Other key features include a business-grade security ecosystem which is powered by a Windows 11 secured-core PC framework & a NIST-155-ready Commercial-Grade BIOS protection. You also get a biometric login (fingerprint & IR camera) for Windows Hello login. For those who want extra privacy, the webcam can be shielded by a physical cover.

As for the launch, ASUS has stated a 2H 2024 launch window for its first Intel Lunar Lake CPU-powered laptops. The ExpertBook P5 laptop looks great on paper but we will wait to see what the pricing looks like. ASUS is also gearing up for the launch of its AMD Ryzen AI 300 "Strix"-powered laptops this month so stay tuned for those too.
