Hardware and peripheral maker ASRock has released a bunch of new monitors for competitive gaming under the Phantom Gaming lineup. The Phantom Gaming lineup offers hardware and peripherals on a budget, but delivers competitive features for those who are looking for powerful features without breaking the bank. ASRock added two monitor models in the Phantom Gaming series, featuring identical specifications, but the flexibility to choose between a highly ergonomic and a more basic design.

Both monitors offer a sleek four-sided slim bezel design for more immersion. The highly ergonomic monitor PG27FFS2E is available in both black and white colors (PG27FFS2E-W), offering a fully ergonomic stand that allows height adjustment (0 to 130mm), 360° swivel, tilt adjustments (-5° to +20° ), and pivot adjustments (-90° to +90°). This allows users to fine-tune the monitor’s position according to their preferred viewing angle and gameplay style.

The second monitor, PG27FFS21A, offers identical specifications to the PG27FFS2E, but lacks a highly ergonomic stand. However, it does allow tilt and swivel adjustments. The stand looks more stylish on this one and comes with a routing hole for cable management as well. In terms of specs and features, these monitors offer a 27-inch Flat IPS display with 1920x1080p resolution. Each model can run at up to 240 Hz refresh rate for a smooth gameplay experience and offer a low 1ms MPRT response time for competitive gameplay.

Moreover, both models are equipped with the AMD FreeSync Premium technology for tear-free gaming, but the rest of the display properties are quite basic, including 99% sRGB color gamut, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 350 nits of brightness. One thing that makes these displays stand out is the 5-way joystick available at the back for intuitive control that allows users to quickly go through various options available in the OSD. From the OSD, users can select the required display modes and enable/disable various features such as Dark Boost, Overdrive technology, and FreeSync.

Lastly, the Challenger series also received two new models: CL27FFB and CL25FFB, which offer 27-inch and 25-inch IPS displays, respectively. They are limited to a 144 Hz refresh rate, but the majority of their specifications are similar to the Phantom Gaming models. ASRock hasn't announced the pricing and availability of these monitors yet.
