Apple has just announced its latest iPad Pro models with a stunning OLED display. The new 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $999, and the 13-inch variant will cost you $1,299 for the base model. While Apple has increased the price of the iPad Pro models, it has also negated earlier rumors that the devices would cost more than $1,500. The company also unveiled its new nano-texture glass technology that aims to minimize reflections. It appears that users will only be able to opt for the nano-texture glass if they buy the higher-end 1TB/2TB variants of the OLED iPad Pro.

OLED iPad Pro's nano-texture glass is limited to higher storage variants only

The new glass technology will absorb light so users can continue their workflows without distraction. The new etched glass costs an extra $100 above the standard OLED iPad Pro pricing model. However, you will not be able to enjoy it on the lower storage variants.

Apple is only offering the nano-texture glass technology on the 1TB/2TB storage variants of the iPad Pro. The company is using the same approach as the new OLED Steam Deck models, where the higher-end model gets etched glass for minimum glare. If you are not familiar, Apple's nano-texture glass is etched at a nanometer scale, which means that it will not impact the new OLED's image quality while reducing glare.

The technology giant did not state a reason why the new glass technology is limited to the higher storage variants, as everyone can utilize it depending on their needs. If you are looking to get your hands on the new device with nano-texture glass, it will start at $1,699 for the 11-inch model and $1,999 for the 13-inch variant. To be fair, earlier rumors could have been pointing at the higher storage variants with etched glass, as the price has reached the level of the M3 Pro MacBook Pro.

Overall, the OLED iPad Pro is a solid upgrade inside and out. It not only brings the OLED panel into the mix but also ditches the M3 chip in favor of the M4. We will be sharing additional details on the devices that Apple did not announce on stage, so be sure to stick around.
