Apple is hosting a March 4 product launch event

A myriad of reports surrounding Apple’s products only kept hyping the suspense that readers and we had to endure, but today, the company has broken its silence because it has announced its March 4 product launch event. As for what is expected to be unveiled during the event, we have made our predictions and discussed below as to why the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models and the low-cost MacBook would go official.

iPhone 17e could launch in February, followed by the first wave of Macs in March

On X, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has presented a screenshot of Apple’s first event of the year. The company has already launched the second-generation AirTag this year, but it wasn’t a major release, suggesting that the best was yet to come. Even though Gurman hasn’t specifically mentioned a launch date, he did say that the M5 Pro, M5 Max, and M5 Ultra would arrive in the first half of 2026.

However, Weibo tipster Fixed-focus digital cameras said that the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro lineup would arrive in March. Also, since there’s a long gap between the M5 and the higher-end Apple Silicon, we expect the SoCs to be unveiled next month. Coming to the low-cost MacBook, this is the second candidate that we believe will be announced alongside the more powerful Macs.

The 13-inch and 15-inch M5 MacBook Air family will launch a little later, since there’s nothing really to update about these machines other than a chipset upgrade, so they take lower priority than the other products. For those wondering why we haven’t included the iPhone 17e in our predictions, it’s because we expect Apple to announce the iPhone 16e successor this week, with February 19 being the potential release date.
