Apple officially announces its iPhone 17 event
Mark your calendars, because there are going to be a done of products heading your way on September 9

The German sources that mentioned that Apple’s iPhone 17 event will kick off on September 9 were absolutely correct in their prediction because the company has officially sent out invitations for its ‘Awe Dropping’ keynote that will take place on the aforementioned date. As you might have known for months, the technology giant aims to introduce a total of four iPhone 17 models, and for the first time, it will unveil an ultra-slim flagship while replacing the ‘Plus’ variant, along with a bevy of other product releases.

The ‘Awe Dropping’ event could also be the first where Apple announces a price hike for some iPhone 17 models due to the ongoing tariffs

Looking at the date, we are exactly two weeks away from the Cupertino firm taking center stage and announcing a host of products. The stars of the show will undoubtedly be the base iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, and, of course, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Additionally, we should expect the Apple Watch Series 11, an Apple Watch Ultra 3, followed by the affordable Apple Watch SE 3, making it the first time in three years that all of the company’s smartwatches will be updated at the same event.

We should also expect the AirPods Pro 3 to be unveiled, along with a HomePod mini and a refreshed Apple TV 4K model that is equipped with the A17 Pro. For those who absolutely adore the Liquid Glass UI change, Apple will also provide launch dates for iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, and the rest of its lineup, giving you a massive shift from what you have been experiencing in software for years. If you plan on upgrading to the iPhone 17 models, be warned that you might have to pay a little extra thanks to tariffs.

Fortunately, the California-based titan could offer storage upgrades to offset the beating your wallet will take for paying that $50 premium. This practice was followed by the company when it launched the iPhone 15 Pro Max two years ago, as it phased out the 128GB storage version and offered 256GB as standard, but got customers to pay $100 extra for it. Whether or not we witness the same changes is anyone’s guess, but we will be sure to update our readers during and before the event, so stay tuned.
