AOC Launches GAMING CU34G4CA and CU34G4ZCA Curved Gaming Monitors, Featuring up to 250 Hz Refresh Rate, KVM Switch, and 90W USB C PD

Popular monitor maker, AOC has rolled out two new monitor models for the affordable segment, targeting users who want a good feature set for both gaming and work. These monitors are the GAMING CU34G4CA and the GAMING CU34G4ZCA, both featuring a curved display and a screen size of 34 inches for an immersive gameplay experience.

The 1500R curve and 21:9 canvas are made for the games where immersion matters most, from sims to sprawling open worlds. What is new here is that we have added 90 W USB-C, so the same screen that pulls you into a race can power a work laptop the next morning. These models are mostly identical in specifications and features, except for a few specs like refresh rate and response time. The CU34G4CA is a lower-end model, delivering up to 180 Hz of refresh rate, while the CU34G4ZCA delivers 240 Hz refresh out of the box, and is overclockable up to 250 Hz. This makes it more ideal and suitable for competitive gaming, particularly because it also features a lower response time of just 0.3 ms MPRT vs 0.5 ms on the 180 Hz model.

Apart from these differences, both offer the same technical specifications, including 3440x1440p resolution, a Fast VA panel, and a 21:9 aspect ratio. These displays offer DisplayHDR400 certification, delivering up to 450 nits of peak brightness in HDR mode, enabling superior visual quality compared to conventional VA displays.

For connectivity, these are equipped with 2x HDMI 2.0 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.4 interface, making them widely compatible with different devices. However, their notable connectivity feature is the USB Type C interface, which offers 90W of Power Delivery and supports Alt DP for both charging devices and powering the display. Furthermore, each display is equipped with a built-in KVM switch to allow controlling two devices through the same set of peripherals for better productivity.

Plus, there is a dedicated USB Hub at the I/O, featuring dual USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for adding peripherals. These are the reasons why AOC considers both displays perfect for both gaming and productivity workloads, and has ensured they remain fully adjustable using highly ergonomic stands.

The AOC Gaming CU34G4CA is priced at £289.99 while the Gaming CU34G4ZCA will cost £329.99. Both displays will be launched officially for retail in August this year.
