AOC has unveiled its cutting-edge gaming monitor, the AGON Pro AG246FK, targeting the eSports gaming segment with a 540Hz display.

AOC's AGON lineup of monitors are known for their gaming prowess, especially with the specifications they are equipped with, and it looks like the AGON Pro AG246FK is no exception.

Starting with the specifications, the AGON Pro AG246FK features a 24.1-inch TN panel with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Hold up. While you might think this is average, wait until you know this monitor's refresh rate. The panel has a rapid GtG response time of 0.2ms and several other gaming-oriented features that best suit e-sports scenarios.

Now, moving onto the refresh rate, the AGON Pro AG246FK comes with a whopping 540 Hz refresh rate, and while this isn't the industry's highest, it certainly is a contender. For those criticizing the panel type, it's important to note that TN panels have a relatively simple pixel structure, which allows faster pixel switching, ultimately guaranteeing high refresh rates. Moreover, TN panels have seen widespread adoption from top display firms like BenQ, which has an excellent reputation in the e-sports segment. Hence, they can be trusted for such quality outputs.

For additional features, the AGON Pro AG246FK has a 100% sRGB color gamut for a decent display, but you shouldn't expect too much in terms of panel quality here. Moreover, the panel comes with HDR 400 certification, which is not high-end, and that's it for the display. In terms of overall aesthetics, the monitor doesn't have much going around, except that it has an abstract RGB pattern at the back, which is also controllable.

In terms of the onboard ports, we aren't aware of the full details, but we do know that the monitor features a four-port USB hub, along with the traditional DP and HDMI connectivity options. Well, for pricing, the AGON Pro AG246FK is retailing for €699 across European markets, making it somewhat a decent choice if you are looking for a hardcore gaming monitor and nothing else, but do be aware that the display quality won't be something you'll like with this.
