Google launched its Pixel 9 series last year, and it became an instant hit for users, especially with the camera visor design that gives the phone a sleeker look and distinguishes it from other brands. Normally, with the traditional camera bumps, the phone tends to wobble when placed up on a flat surface, but the tech giant opted for a design that adds symmetry by balancing the weight and thickness of the camera across the back. While this is not the first time the company has brought up the camera bar layout, it seems that some aspects still need to be addressed, as users experienced Pixel 9 Pro's camera bar separating from the back panel.

Pixel 9 Pro users experience issues with the camera bar, raising questions regarding quality and durability

While the Pixel phones are known for their cameras, vanilla Android experience, and AI enhancements, it seems like the issue with the camera bars still keeps popping up. A user recently shared on Reddit about an unpleasant experience with the Pixel 9 Pro as the camera bar was separating from the phone. The device owner claims that it was three months old and had been protected with both a screen protector and a cover since it was purchased. It was also stated in the post that the phone had never been dropped or damaged, yet the issue came up.

This is not the first time such a problem has been raised for the Pixel series as a similar unfortunate experience was shared by another Pixel 9 Pro customer back in October, where the customer shared that the camera lens first started fogging in the shower and later on the camera bar separated from the back panel. Google, with the first incident, acted promptly and issued a replacement. However, the current post shares dismay over Google's response to the issue, as the tech giant is said to have refused to provide any solution as the device has been with the owner for more than 90 days.

There is still the option for third-party repairs for the user, but given how the issue erupted within months of purchase, it can be a huge inconvenience for users. Since two similar instances of the camera bar separating from the upper edge have come up, Google should act more vigilantly, look into the issue, and ensure others do not experience such hardware issues, as it can severely impact the brand image.

While Google has not yet given any official statement on the underlying issue and what is causing the camera bar to be this way, it does need to openly address growing concerns regarding quality control and hardware flaws, in order to avoid compromising its reputation.
