HTC VP Mo Versi Provides Insight Into The Next Android Lollipop Update - Android 5.1?
In a reply to a question about a bug on the HTC One M7, Versi highlighted what can be speculated as the date for the next update to Android Lollipop yesterday. Android 5.1 is not a thing of myth either. We've seen the update on Android One smartphones so far. But when will the update be hitting mainstream smartphones is yet unknown. Google has remained tight lipped about the update, and comments by Mr. Versi provide a time frame for what could be a complete Android 5.1 update or an incremental one such for Android 5.0.3.
We'd surely hope for the former as several bugs have started to surface in Android Lollipop for quite a large number of smartphones. March seems to be a big month for the Android world, specially with the upcoming launches of the Samsung Galaxy S6 duo and HTC's One M9. An Android 5.1 update by Google would end up further sweetening the pot. Android Lollipop as our avid readers will know comes with a slew of amazing features on board. These cover issues relating from improved performance. better battery life, increased functionality, improved fluidity and an overall increased integration of the various smartphones and tablets that you might own. So keep you eyes peeled for March, as its proving to be one good month for all the Android lovers out there. Stay tuned and cheers!
