In May 2010 Google announce the Android 3.0 codename GingerBread mmmTasty. Android 3.0 aka Ginerbread was expected in Q4 2010 but no official images or features were mentioned but today Eldar Murtazin Editor of Mobile-review.com shared some interesting features while doing a Russian Podcast. Some of those features which he mentioned are
- Android 3.0 aka Gingerbread will release in mid October may be in 15th or 16th October 2010.
- Android 3.0 aka Gingerbread will be for high end android based smart phones and minimum requirements will be 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, and a minimum display of 3.5inch or higher.
- Android 3.0 aka Gingerbread will support 1280*720 resolution.
Eldar also mentioned Inhgis Podcast that there will be no third party User Interface shells like HTC Sense, MotoBlur, etc. Android 3.0 basically kills the need for them.
All these specs sound wonderful now all we have to do is to wait for our Christmas present. 🙂
