AMD's next-gen Zen 6 Mobility CPUs have been revealed in a leaked roadmap, which confirms the Gator Range & Medusa series.

An internal roadmap has been posted by OEM, Seleno, which shows the next-gen lineups from AMD and Intel. This is different than the Intel roadmap, which we covered a few minutes ago.

According to the roadmap, AMD's 2026-2027 plans have been disclosed and cover various families, with the highlights being the new Zen 6 lineup, which includes three new additions. The first one is the flagship gaming and compute family codenamed Gator Range. These will be replacing the Fire Range "HX" series and offer specifications similar to the desktop lineup with up to 24 cores and 32 threads. Considering that Fire Range featured a TDP of 55W and above, we can expect similar on Gator Range.

Next up, we have two Medusa families, with the first one being Medusa Point. Medusa Point will replace AMD's Strix Point family and will be housed in premium and mainstream laptops. The lineup will feature the 3nm Zen 6 core architecture, and it is known that both Zen 6 and Zen 6C cores will be leveraged by the chip. The CPUs will also be centered around FP10 platforms.

According to previous information, AMD Medusa Point CPUs are likely to carry up to 22 cores in a very diverse configuration, alongside an 8 CU RDNA 3.5+ iGPU. The 22-core count will be made possible through a combination of 4 Zen 6 cores, 4 Zen 6C cores, and 2 LP Zen 6 cores sitting within the SOC and an external Zen 6 CCD with 12 cores.

There's also Medusa BB, which seems to be the more standard offering and will cover the Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 range with up to 10 cores in a 4 Zen 6, 4 Zen 6C, and 2 LP Zen 6 core configuration. These chips will retain up to 8 CU RDNA 3.5 iGPUs.

Now the roadmap timeline states that Gator Range, Medusa Point, and Medusa BB won't be here until 2027, though this could only be specific to the company from which this roadmap comes from. AMD will have Zen 6 prepped for launch sometime in 2026, so stay tuned for more information, especially at the AMD Financial Analyst Day in November.
