Recently teased Radeon AI Pro R9000 series GPUs are now available on AMD's official website, revealing complete specs for both cards.

AMD Launches RDNA 4-Based Fanless Radeon AI PRO R9700S and R9600D Workstation GPUs, Featuring 32 GB GDDR6 Memory Capacity

AMD just silently released two of its newest RDNA 4 GPUs, but they are for the workstation segment as we previously spotted. If you remember, last week, two new PRO GPUs were spotted on AMD's official website, which only confirmed the model names: Radeon AI PRO R9700S and Radeon AI PRO R9600D. Today, we also have their detailed specifications mentioned on dedicated product pages.

Both GPUs are variants of the existing Radeon AI PRO R9700, which was released a few months ago. So, you will have the same NAVI 48 die on the R9700S as well as the slower R9600D. However, the R9600D uses a cut-down NAVI 48 GPU with only 3072 Stream Processors, unlike the R9700S, which hosts 4,096 SPs. Apart from the shader count difference, the Radeon AI PRO R9600D has some cut-down specs in other areas.

However, the major noticeable differences between the cards compared to the R9700 are the absence of a fan on the shroud. Both GPUs are essentially made for completely quiet operation and utilize a passive cooling solution. The Radeon AI PRO 9700S, despite being completely passive, has the same 2-slot thick design and doesn't have any differences in the specs compared to the R9700. It has the same boost clock of up to 2920 MHz, 32 GB GDDR6 memory, 256-bit memory bus, and 300 W of TDP rating.

Moreover, we have the same 47.8 TFLOPS of FP32 compute performance, which essentially puts the R9700S on the same level as the R9700, except for cooling. On the other hand, the Radeon AI PRO R9600D brings just 3,072 Stream Processors, which is a 25% reduction in the shader count, and we are also seeing some major downgrades in other areas. The GPU brings just 2,020 MHz of boost clock, 24.8 TFLOPS of FP32 compute performance, and is rated at just 150 W of TDP. Thankfully, the memory configuration has been retailed, featuring 32 GB GDDR6 20 Gbps memory via a 256-bit memory bus width.

So, essentially, even though it's a budget-segment workstation card, it offers plenty of VRAM for taking care of intensive memory-oriented workloads. AMD hasn't yet announced the exact date for their availability on the shelves, nor has it revealed the prices, but we shall see them in the coming days.
