AMD has released its latest Adrenalin driver, adding support for the newest RDNA 4 GPU as well as two new games.
AMD Releases Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.7.1, Bringing Support for Entry-Level RX 9050 GPU; Adds Gears of War: E-Day and Out of Control Evolution
AMD has launched its latest version of the Adrenalin software, which brings support for newer hardware, games, and fixes several bugs. The Software, Adrenalin Edition 26.7.1, is now available to download from the official AMD website, bringing optimizations for AMD hardware.
The most notable change in the release notes is the addition of the Radeon RX 9050 GPU. Just today, AMD and some of its board partners silently launched the new RDNA 4-based GPU, which fills the entry-level segment in the RX 9000 series. The RX 9050 is now the weakest and the cheapest RDNA 4 desktop graphics card that will be available in two flavors.
After a long time, AMD decided to bring back the 50-class card, offering 4 GB and 8 GB memory configurations, as we discussed in another post. The card boasts 1024 shaders, 4 GB/ 8 GB GDDR6 memory, 18 Gbps memory speed, and 64-bit/128-bit memory interface. Due to a volatile market and high VRAM prices, AMD is reportedly putting a price tag of $279 on the 8 GB edition, while the 4 GB variant is expected to cost around $200.
Apart from adding support for a new GPU, the new Adrenalin driver also adds open beta early access support for Gears of War: E-Day, which is scheduled to launch in October. AMD has also fixed various issues associated with the Radeon RX 7000 series, as you can see in the release notes. Some users were facing crashes and flickering issues in Blender using RX 7000 GPUs, but they have been fixed with the latest driver.
Similarly, users who were facing game crashes using FSR 4.1 on Windows 10 on RX 7000 should no longer face those issues. The Adrenalin Edition 26.7.1 can be downloaded from here.
