The hardware monitoring tool has added early support for the upcoming AMD and Intel CPU families.
AIDA64 v8.35 Rolls Out With Support for AMD Zen 6 Processors, Including Mainstream CPUs/APUs, and Mustang Peak Threadripper Chips
This isn't the first time we've seen AMD Zen 6 being mentioned in release notes, but it's surely a big update as it brings support for several upcoming CPU families from both AMD and Intel. AIDA64 remains a popular hardware monitoring utility that usually adds support for next-gen hardware early, similar to other monitoring software.
The latest AIDA64 version 8.35 has been released, which adds support for several new CPU families. This includes "improved" support for AMD's Zen 6 processors as well as Zen 6-based APUs. This should include both Medusa Point and Medusa Ridge processors as well as the dedicated APU family, which will bring RDNA 4m-based integrated graphics.
The latest AIDA64 v8.35 also adds preliminary support for AMD Mustang Peak, which is AMD's Zen 6-based Threadripper family. AIDA64 previously added preliminary support for Mustang Peak nearly a month ago, but this time, the release notes state "early compatibility" for the upcoming Threadripper family, which will be based on a 2nm process node.
From Intel's side, we have the Panther Lake-R processors, which are specially made for rugged devices. These processors are made for "harsh" environments and haven't been released yet. AIDA64 v8.35 also added several new updates, including GPU details for NVIDIA RTX Spark N1X, which is Team Green's latest SoC for the enthusiast segment. The RTX Spark-based laptops will launch in the upcoming weeks, but we have recently published a post on a Prototype that should give you early impressions of the NVIDIA chip.
Coming back to AMD Zen 6, it's expected to release early next year while the Threadripper Mustang Peak is expected to launch in either mid-2027 or late 2027.
