Not just for gamers, but the X3D design has now reached the PRO series, making the leaked Ryzen 9 PRO X3D processor the flagship chip.

Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D Spotted in NBD Shipping Manifest; Boasts 16-Cores and 170W of TDP

AMD's 3D V-Cache technology has been a game-changer for the company, and while AMD has strictly limited this feature on its consumer CPU lineups, we may see it expanding to even server-level products such as the Threadripper series, as we heard before. Before that, AMD is apparently looking to expand the current Ryzen PRO 9000 series with such SKUs, as we just saw one CPU being mentioned in an NBD shipping manifest.

As spotted by @Olrak29_, a new CPU just appeared in the shipping log by the name "Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D", which, according to the log, boasts a 170W TDP rating and brings a 16-core configuration. It appears to be a PRO variant of the existing Ryzen 9 9950X3D chip, which also boasts 16 cores and the same TDP rating. Since naming it Ryzen 9 PRO 9950X3D could make it confusing for the customers, AMD has adopted the usual Ryzen PRO 9000 naming convention, and this will sit above the Ryzen 9 PRO 9945.

So, it's clearly going to be the flagship chip in the Ryzen PRO 9000 series. While there is no information on its total cache size, we expect it to be 144 MB, as we haven't heard from any reports whatsoever that AMD is working on two different variants of the dual X3D chip, which is supposedly coming soon. Still, keep in mind that this is an early leak and the specs are subject to change unless we get some official announcement from AMD.

At the moment, there are just three SKUs in the Ryzen PRO 9000 lineup, featuring up to a 12-core/24-thread configuration, which makes the PRO 9965X3D a solid addition to the lineup, bringing a huge increase in the L3 cache. We expect more details to be unveiled in the coming days, but as of now, we are more interested in the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, which AMD hasn't officially announced yet.
