The Galaxy S24 series is finally official, and we are getting to learn a lot about new aspects of the device. The one thing that Samsung talked about is that the new phones are using vapor chamber cooling, which is found in all three devices. But what exactly is the benefit here? Well, this time around, all three phones have larger cooling, which should help with the overall thermal performance.
Gamers rejoice as the Galaxy S24 series will be able to remain cool even when put under stressful tasks
Now, this is not the first time that Samsung has decided to use a vapor chamber. The Galaxy S23 also delivered vapor chambers, and the Galaxy S24 takes it to the next step. Samsung claims that the base variant offers a 1.5x bigger vapor chamber than the Galaxy S23, the Plus variant offers a 1.6x larger vapor chamber than the Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 1.9x times larger vapor chamber when compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
It is more than safe to understand why Samsung would go for this decision with the Galaxy S24 series. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Exynos 2400 found in these devices would require a decent cooling solution, and I am really glad that Samsung has focused on that.
Now, I am not someone who uses their smartphone to the point that it requires a lot of cooling, but as someone who has been using the Redmagic 9 Pro and gaming actively on it, I do understand the need for a good vapor chamber more than ever. The Galaxy S24 is now available for pre-order, with sales starting on 31st January, which is later this month.
