Acer Launches Core Ultra 9 288V and GeForce RTX 5070-Powered Predator Triton 14 AI Gaming Laptop, Featuring Graphene Cooling

Gaming laptops with dedicated GPUs are usually bulky since deploying powerful GPUs inside a small space isn't always feasible. Many laptop makers have tried to bring their advanced and compact gaming notebooks, which have reduced the thickness of the chassis, but that comes with some caveats, such as poor thermal performance. Acer's new Predator Triton 14 AI looks promising as it aims to deliver enthusiast-grade gaming performance inside an ultra-portable laptop while keeping temperatures in check.

Acer recently unveiled its Predator Triton 14 AI gaming laptop, which provides a sleek and slim design while cramming a GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU inside. While the company hasn't shared a detailed spec sheet for the laptop, most of the specs have been revealed through the company's official website and Press Release. The laptop's chassis measures <17.31mm or 0.68". So, it's definitely one of the thinnest, but not the thinnest, as we have laptops that are even thinner than this, and still get the GeForce RTX 50 series cards inside.

Nonetheless, Acer's Predator Triton 14 AI has some excellent features, which make it an appealing choice, such as a small 14.5-inch display size, making it highly portable, and an OLED screen wth 2880x1800p resolution, enabling high-quality visuals and deep blacks. The display runs at 120Hz and offers a response time of just 1ms, which will be ideal for gaming, and also delivers excellent color accuracy, which, according to Acer, is Calman verified with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It also offers touchscreen functionality, which can be convenient for most.

For the CPU, it uses the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V processor, which is the flagship Lunar Lake CPU with a dedicated Arc 140V iGPU. Therefore, the memory option here is 32 GB LPDDR5X, which is soldered on the board, saving more space inside the chassis. For storage, it gets a 1TB NVMe SSD, but offers a 2 TB option as well. To ensure optimal cooling, the laptop uses a Graphene Thermal Interface Material (TIM), which Acer claims to be exceptional for cooling in laptops, and uses AeroBlade 3D fans for quick heat dissipation.

Acer Predator Triton 14 AI laptop will be available this month, starting at 2,699 Pounds, featuring 1 TB storage. As can be seen on the website, the 2 TB model will be available at $2,599.
