Acer Japan Says it Will Revise PC Product Prices, Starting February 20, 2026, as Memory and SSD Costs Keep Rising
The PC hardware prices aren't ready to stabilize, and we are seeing major hardware manufacturers announcing price revisions almost every month. Recently, it was Maingear and Framework that announced price hikes a couple of times. ASUS also announced price hikes due to higher memory and SSD costs, and now it's Acer's turn, which has also announced a price revision.
Acer Predator Gaming JPN handle on X announced that starting from February 20, 2026, it will start increasing the prices of its computer products. It cites the same reason, which has forced other manufacturers to increase hardware prices. As RAM and SSDs continue to see a sharp rise in prices, they are driving the overall PC hardware costs higher almost every week.

Acer will revise the prices of PC products on its official online store starting from February 20, 2026.Purchases at the current prices will be available until February 19.

It's unclear whether this will affect the prices of Acer products worldwide or just in Japan, but anything that ships with memory or SSD will see a price hike. Acer has notified that some products won't be affected by the price revision. So, products like peripherals won't be affected by this hike. PC hardware like laptops, pre-built PCs, tablets, and other such devices that utilize RAM and NAND-based storage will likely see higher prices.
There is still a week left before the revised prices will take effect. That said, Acer hasn't announced how much of a price hike one can expect on these devices, but this will surely vary from device to device.
