Indie horror game Martha Is Dead is the latest title to be adapted for a feature film. The news came in today from Italian developer LKA and UK publisher Wired Productions, who will be partnering with Swedish film-production company Studios Extraordinaires. This company appears to be focused entirely on adapting games; they've already announced partnerships with Fallen Leak to make a movie based on Fort Solis and with Graewolv Games to develop a feature film based on VEIL, a newly announced cooperative horror tactical first-person shooter game.
Luca Dalcò, Founder and Director of LKA, writer and designer of Martha Is Dead, said in a statement:
Every element of Martha Is Dead was created with extraordinary precision and care. The narrative's complexity was meticulously planned, visualized, and even shaped with a cinematic quality in mind. Bringing this to life as a film is a dream come true.

The feature film will be developed in close collaboration with Luca Dalcò. André Hedetoft and Andreas Troedsson will co-direct.
The game earned a 9.1 out of 10 score from Rosh Kelly in Wccftech's review:
Martha Is Dead is an actively sinister game. It is trying to upset you. It is trying to cling to the shadowy thoughts as you sleep. It tells a genuinely tragic tale and does so with a level of commitment and detailed pace that few games are brave enough to attempt. But it is not a comfortable journey. Nor is it a friendly one. If Dear Esther or Everyone Has Gone To The Rapture made you squirm, Martha Is Dead will make you abandon your living room altogether.
