im trying to set up a new website .. the basic idea is to create a tutorial aggregater (spelling issue) i can setup the whole thing.. will ask for help down the line as i continue with that..
but the basic issue is advertising the website.. i need help with that.. how do i attract traffic to the site. .. i obviously will be adding text ads .. so im also looking to try to generate some revenue from that.. * im extremely sleepy right now .. not sure if i got my idea across or the idea .. will update this in the morning*

There are many ways of advertising a site.
If you want a link to one of the best web master forum in the world, then PM me. Everything will need investments! Article Submission - great way to drive in traffic. Create an article about your site, or hire a professional writer. Find the blog, related to your niche at pay-per-blog.com and have your article posted on their sites for as low as $5. Be sure you check out the PR rank of the blog, you are going to submit your article in. Submit it as many as blogs you can (but limit it to twenty!) Directory Submissions - Submit to high ranking Directories! there are thousands of them, this will help you gain backlinks and will help you in sERPS, by this your site will be able to rank better in search engines (specially google - we all care for that). Some directories may cost you a buck or two, but it's worth it really! Get a review by either johnchow.com or shoemoney.com - But it ain't gonna be cheap. Johnchow asks for $500. I tried to get a review, and I saw a dramatic change! From 1000 Uniques hits per day to 1k unique hits per day! 100% more results! just amazing! and there are 101 more methods... Other than all that. Some free techniques (a lil time consuming thou)
Directory submissions (Free preferably, google don't like paid links) Write articles and post them to article directories (Specially the good ones like ezinearticles.com) Exchange links with relevant sites (write a good proposal, send it to as many relevant websites as you can, you will get positive response from some of them) Try Adwords (Not free of course) Bookmark your site at all good bookmarking websites and ask your friends to do the same To get maximum benefit from all of the above described techniques .. you need to spend some time and determine a set of keywords ... P.S. Once you are done with the website, let me know. If unoccupied, i will do the basic SEO for free Err ... sorry HPA

A Free Online Advertising Network | Free Blog Advertising | AdGridwork.com try this free advertising site you place other ads on your site and they place your ads it much more looks like google ads it works the same way...
i however use google adwords i am into shipping/customs clearance business and our targetted market is Pakistan only... so far google adwords has brought very good results we get approx 1 sales lead every day though it's not very cheap but pays off as we did pick up customers recently...

i meant do know css/php coding and designing themes? if so why don't you offer some free themes of wordpress like other designers on your site it would bring thousands of people each day to your site and you can pick up some good customers as well whatcha think?
How did you learn css/php stuff, i was looking for someone to guide me in another thread, i just want to learn for fun though
