Hey everyone,
I have Wateen Wimax 1MB 15 gb. The Problem is that, download speed never goes up from 5 KB and the Surfing/Browsing is also very slow. How do i speed these things up. I had Wateen Wimax before but then, It used to give 45-50 kb download speed. I don't know what's wrong now Any Help would really be appericiated, Thanks, Ikram

5KB only??
At 1mbps speed you should at least get 100KB download speed. What's the signal strength in your locality? Go to your nearest franchise and ask the problem from them.

Well that's not bad, I mean 2 out of 3. The Router, that they gave me had 5 levels of signal strength.
What's the model of your CPE? Btu still, id you were bearing with 40-50 KB/sec, you were still being robbed. Because it's the speed of 512 kbps conenction. Go to speedtest.net, and let us know your result.

How is that even possible with an 1mbps connection? 1mbps connection = 1024 kbps connection 1.51mbps connection = 1546.24 kbps connection It's quiet irony... and here are some more calculations: 1024/8 = 128 KB/Sec This means, with 1mbps conenction, the maximum download speed, that you can get is 128 KB/Sec 1546/8 = 193.25 KB/Sec So you SHOULD get 193.25 KB/Sec If you are getting just 5 KB, then somethings wrong with your computer, or browser. This shouldn't happen at all...

I will try the Downloads with IE now.

Ok, Thanks for helping hpa and all the other's. I will contact my Franchise first thing in the morning!
Now at almost 4'o Clock, I get 10-15 Kb Download speed. help?

Well 10 - 15 KB isn't good, either way.
