Alright. I'm panning to do a lot of MOD job on my Cosmos S. Which might take 2 to 3 days, but I would still like to use my system. I know there's a way to start a system without chassis, but I don't know what it is.
So... How?

hmmmm considering your near a desert the amount of dust your casing will catch is quite high and can cause alot of problems ... i suggest you buy a small 1000/- rs casing and put rig in that for the time ...

hmmmmm ok heres what you do get a styrafoam sheet for your motherboard completely
list : 1 x styrafoam ( the white snow like sheets which is used in packing of monitors mainly ) solely for motherboard + GPU + system ( NOT FOR PSU OR HD ) 1x styrafoam for PSU SEPERATE 1x styrafoam for HDD and optical drives make motherboard lie face up on styrafoam and connect it with psu and viola

^^ Voila..
the only caution is to make sure that the mobo pins on its back side dont touch any metal the styrofoam as suggested by R,, or any other insulated material, would suffice...

come on guys cant anyone give him a straight answer ?
forget abt the styrofoam sheets...just get ur mobo box and put ur mobo ON it ... and put Hdd's on some other hardware box...kee the PSU horizontal so its fan faces the SIDE so it can still suck fresh air in... just hook everything up and ur good to go! u will have to short the POWER SW pins with the screw driver everytime you need to power on the rig...refer to ur mobo manual for the location of the POWER SW PINS ... and also what nazareth says..put a fan facing the setup if posss..though it aint necessary ! u can easily run it 24/7 if ya want ... the only thing u ought to worry abt MAYBE heating up is the HDD...so keep an eye on the temp s anything at max at 38-40c is OKAY !
