Lord of the Rings has, by far, the deepest storyline amongst the above mentioned books. There are around 12 books available on the histories of Middle earth and a comprehensive book called The Silmarillion, which is considered the holy bible of LOTR world. And the of course we have the three main books, so there's a whole lot more that we haven't even explored.

LOTR has also the most involving plot involving references to the modern era, the smartness of men over other species,.. and also the lifestyle resemblance to the times when Tolkien wrote the orignal novel..
hp IS A gREAT great NOVEL.. sTUPID STUPID FILMs, which loose the inetersting and plot binding parts of the novel..
