And Farhan, Samsung R series is quite old model. Newest Samsung are like A4, A5, A6 series, like the model Samsung A550 compares with this Sony S400 (having 15000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and other similar attributes). Older models like R series and sony S310 had like 8000:1 or something.

My post was specific about his buget..
the 6 series Samsung are WAAAAYYYY off buget for the thread starter .. therfore, my pst was not on techological breakthrus in LCD occuring every second, but a buying advice for the Buget limt of the Thread starter..
Samsung has Un-parraleled LCD picture quality from all the 5point theory described above..
LG has a VERY minute Jaggies screen... but it still WAYYYYY better than the Un-natural looking Smoothing aplied on all the sony Higher end screens.. and S series is still Suck-Series...
