Government has allowed a increase in the tariff of KESC by 40 to 70% for domestic and industrial users.
1- Increase will be applicable from April 2008 ( Yes 2008, not 2009) and so arrears will be added in future bills, same happened here with IESCO bills, an IESCO customer can see arrears in his recent bills even after paying previous bills.
2- After privatization in 2005, agreement signed by Short-Cut Aziz Govt and management of KESC stated that there will be no increase in tariff for next 7 Years.
Thanks to Arabs for investment in our country and then minting money out of our pockets the same way monopolist service sectors in their own countries do, every sector owned by a dumb ass prince or princess.
Thanks to "Time Pass/ Chal Chalao" PPP government whose policy makers always have far vision problems or they do something that always had long lasting negative effects on economy and lives of poor people of Pakistan...But we still love Bhutto (for a few reasons) and will vote for Bilawal Zardari and his kids and grandkids coz we love Bhuttos.
