After only part leaks related to Sony's yet to be released flagship upgrade for this year, the Sony Xperia Z4, we've finally started to receive press renders of the device as well. As promised earlier, Onleaks has delivered on what he claims that Sony's upcoming flagship can be expected to look like. While these renders do come with the claim that they're not final, yet their source claims them to resemble the final product as they've been produced for internal use at Sony.
More Xperia Z4 Renders Surface As Device Rumors Spread Of September Launch For Device
While we take a look at the most recent alleged press renders of the Xperia Z4, word has started to surface that Sony might be looking to shift towards a yearly cycle for its flagship upgrades from now on. This time around, the Xperia Z3 will be coming at the IFA, according to a report published by the Italians. This will be the same time as the Xperia Z3's launch last year, and will mean that Sony's finally chosen to leave behind its two device a year flagship.
What we're wondering is whether this decision is based on the fact that loyal users find upgrading issues for a device twice a year cubersome, or is Sony looking to do away with the heating problems on the Snapdragon 810. HTC's One M9 reported heating issues in a benchmark testing recently, and Samsung chose to completely replace the 810 with its own in-house SoC citing heating issues particularly with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge's metal unibody.
