Now that we know OnePlus Open is coming out next month and Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are finally official, it seems like we have another player bringing something that could dethrone every other foldable that we have seen so far, and that phone is the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3. The company has finally announced the phone, and it will be debuting next month and could possibly end up becoming the best foldable in the market, at least until we get to see something better.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 could easily be the best foldable phone on the market
Xiaomi isn't holding back as the company announced the Mix Fold 3 on both Weibo and Twitter that the company is coming out with the new foldable in August. Considering how foldable phones are getting more and more advanced, the upcoming Fold 3 from Xiaomi is going to be both thinner and lighter. The company has also posted a teaser photo, but more information from the photo reveals that Xiaomi is focusing more on the camera this time around.
Xiaomi is also talking about how the upcoming Mix Fold 3 will focus on the camera system, and based on the information we have received, it seems like the upcoming phone will have a quad-camera setup, and I am sure there is a periscope camera there as well. As we all know, periscope cameras are much better than your standard zoom cameras, which often ruin the picture quality.
I am really excited for Mix Fold 3 to come out next month. I am really hoping that the company really creates something that can challenge the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The foldable market needs a strong contender that takes a right to some of the other foldable phones. August will also see the OnePlus Open get announced, so we are going to get some pretty interesting comparisons.
As far as the specs are concerned, we don't know much about the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, to be honest. I am hoping that this is a flagship device because a foldable commanding a big price tag and offering a class-leading camera system shouldn't be made if it is not offering top-tier specs, as well. All will be revealed next month, and considering how we live in a world where nothing is shrouded in mystery, expect to see some leaks in the coming days.
