The Witcher 3 is so Big that not even the Level Designer has Seen it All; Looking Gorgeous on Both Consoles

Miles Tost, Level Designer for The Witcher 3 revealed that he has not seen all of what the game has to offer due to its massive size.

Toast explains that seeing it all come together is quite magical, as is quite understandable.

Responding to a fan query about developers spoiling the game for themselves, Miles stated that this has indeed been the case.

“Yes and no. Still stuff even I have never seen (game is THAT big and packed with content). But I know the story & most locations.

A fan comments on the fact that we have not seen any footage of the game running on the Xbox One, while on the PS4 some direct footage was finally shown a couple of days ago.

Miles states that the game looks gorgeous on both consoles.

Senior Game Designer Damien Monnier praises the team's tech art and engine renderer wizards and wizardesses. Although, I guess female wizards, would be more politically correct.

Level Designer Miles Toast has recently revealed tons of interesting new information during a livestream hosted by GoG.com, yesterday. Nvidia has made available the first screenshots from The Witcher 3 that demonstrate Nvidia features like HairWorks and HBAO+. Nvidia has also released a press release announcing that both Batman Arkham Knight and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be included in their GPU bundle with the GTX 980 and GTX 970 GPUs.

Console players have long now been asking for some gameplay footage, to see how their console fairs in comparison to all the PC footage that we have been seeing for quite some time. Finally the first direct feed footage of the PlayStation 4 version of The Witcher: Wild Hunt made its debut, and it is as good as CD Projekt promised it would be. The PS4 does an amazing job at recreating the vast and beautiful world of the Witcher 3, looking almost on par with the PC version at high settings, but still just a tad less impressive than the visual beauty of which the PC can attain at Ultra settings.

The reviews for The Witcher 3 will go live a week before the release of the game

We have previously reported that the reviews for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will go live a week before the release of the game, which goes to show how dedicated CD Projekt RED is to their fans and the community.

You can checkout the last Ultra settings 1080p 60fps footage provided by YouTuber ImAnderZEL, as well as the previous video here. Note that the video is not of the highest quality and it from a previous build of The Witcher 3 and not the final. The specs of the system are - GTX 980, i7 4790, 8GB.

The Witcher 3 is just two weeks away from release, and as we have previously covered, CD Projekt has already announced that pre-load options are already live, as well as the unlock times for The Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3 will release on May 19 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We will bring you any new information on The Witcher 3 as soon as it becomes available. Be sure to check out our previous coverage for more information on The Witcher 3, here and here.
