Where’s the YouTube TV App for Apple TV? It’s Coming “Very Soon”

In case you were wondering when the official YouTube TV app for Apple TV will become available, it's apparently releasing "very soon."

YouTube TV App Released for Roku Devices, Coming to Apple TV Soon

Google launched YouTube TV little over nine months ago in the United States, and it has seen gradual expansion over time. It's a great little service for those looking to ditch their cable for over the air content delivery. The only problem with the service is that the official app is not available on every platform, more specifically the Apple TV. All of that is about to change however, as CNET has outlined in a report that the official app for the Apple TV is about to release "very soon." This news comes straight from a YouTube representative which means that you can give it quite a bit of weight.

In addition to Roku, a YouTube representative confirmed to CNET that the app for Apple TV is "coming very soon."

Currently, if you have a YouTube TV subscription ($35 a month) you can watch content on your Apple TV, only if you are willing to AirPlay it. But with the official app in place, you can go through your channels right on the big screen without having to fiddle with your iPhone or iPad.

Currently, the YouTube TV app is available on a wide variety of devices, including iOS, Android, Xbox One, Chromecast, Roku, LG smart TVs, Samsung smart TVs and Android TV. This list will expand as soon as Google opens the floodgates for the Apple TV as well.

The app will be available for the Apple TV and Apple TV 4K. If you have an older version of the device, then maybe it's time to reconsider your decision of not upgrading this year, until or unless you love your content to be extremely mobile.
