WhatsApp Chat and Data Transfer From Android to iPhone

WhatsApp is regularly getting features that honestly improve the overall user experience a lot more than one might think. Today, the company has introduced the new Secret Code feature that is going to serve as an extension to the Chat Lock functionality. As the name suggests, you can now lock your chats using a secret code, which will actually make it more difficult for people to figure out a way to access your chats.

WhatsApp's Secret Code feature is going to add an extra layer of security to your chats

With the help of Secret Code, WhatsApp users will be able to set a unique password to lock the chats. This password will be different from their phone's unlock code. Users will then also get an option to hide these chats from the main list. You will have to type this Secret Code in the search bar of the app to reveal this locked chat folder.

In addition to that, it is now easier to lock specific chats. Instead of going through chat settings, you can just long-press the chat you want to lock, and you will have the option to do so.

WhatsApp has mentioned that the feature will start rolling out to users today, and all the users will get access to the latest feature in the coming months. Honestly, I am glad that this feature is rolling out to WhatsApp given how extensively we rely on the service for our communications. This is one of the things that I like about WhatsApp compared to its contemporaries. Instead of adding features that no one is asking for, WhatsApp keeps improving user experience and security with every new feature.
