Users who prefer using WhatsApp Web over the other platforms now have a reason to enjoy the experience even more. The platform has decided to roll out a small update that lets you upload your statuses directly from the web version of the app. This means that you are no longer bound to do it from other devices.
The feature was spotted in the WhatsApp Web beta 2.2353.59 and is currently available for select beta users. But considering how the update is indeed rolling out, you can expect to see it roll out to a larger audience in the coming future.
As you can see in the screenshot above, WhatsApp Web will now allow you to upload statuses directly from the web browser, which is a handy feature as you will not have to shift between devices. Once the feature does roll out, you will be able to upload statuses, whether they are in audio/video or in text format, providing you with complete compatibility.
Honestly, although I am glad that this feature is finally rolling out to WhatsApp Web, I do not see myself using this feature all that much. The reason behind that is simple: I don't really use the platform to update statuses in the first place. However, I know many people who actively use the status update feature, and this certainly is a great feature for those.
The new WhatsApp Web feature is also great for anyone who prefers using the platform on their computers rather than being on their phones. After all, having WhatsApp on your computer is a lot less distracting, simply because you do not have to check your phone again and again. As mentioned before, only the beta version of WhatsApp Web is currently getting the new feature, but you should not have to wait long if you are on a stable channel. Be sure to keep checking for the update, and you will be good to go once it is available.
