WhatsApp Chat and Data Transfer From Android to iPhone

One of the quintessential features of WhatsApp is the ability to send and receive videos and photos. Whether you are sharing pictures of your pets, the cool vacation you just took, or the watch you are wearing today - it is a feature that works reliably.

WhatsApp's ability to send photos and videos in their original quality is a much-needed feature

However, not everything is perfect because there is heavy compression every time you send a video or a photo via WhatsApp. Sure, the platform did introduce a feature that will let you share media in HD quality, but that still is not equal to its actual quality. Thankfully, this is changing.

The feature is now rolling out with WhatsApp version 23.24.73 on both platforms, and it is pretty simple to use, to be honest. However, it still requires you to send the photo or video via the Documents tab, but it is still easy and does not have any compression.

WhatsApp says that the feature is currently rolling out and will soon start becoming available to users across the globe. I have just tried this feature on my phone, and it even allows you to send RAW files, so if you want to share an unedited photo with someone so they can do a quick edit, this is a great way to do so. Do note that in its current state, sending media through the latest method does not show a preview, but the recipient can still tap the file and view it.

Honestly, of all the features that WhatsApp has released or is working on, this is one of them that makes the most sense to me, and it is something that I can see myself using, as well. This is a big win for photographers who would like to share their work without it being compressed and looking horrible. Hopefully, the rollout will be complete in the coming weeks for both Android and iOS users. Do note that the update has hit the stable channel, so it is only a matter of time before your device also starts receiving it.
