WhatsApp Working on Native iPad App

WhatsApp has easily become one of the most used instant messaging apps on the market and for all the right reasons. Over time, the platform has gained a slew of features that make the experience even better for everyone to use. Today, we have learned that the platform is now going to introduce a new feature that will allow users to share music and videos with each other.

WhatsApp will let you start your own watch parties, all thanks to the new feature

According to information obtained from WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently testing a new feature that will allow users to share screens with friends so they can listen to music or watch videos together. The feature is coming to both iOS and Android devices, so you will not be left out. The best thing is that all the users in a video call can actually share their screens with others, which essentially works as a watch party but on an instant messaging platform.

It is worth noting that WhatsApp already offers screen sharing on Android, but the current version is limited to showing the video contents of the screen, and audio is not shared. Once the feature does roll out, audio will be shared with or without the video, which definitely is a handy feature for people who do not want others to know what is on their screen.

Overall, I think this would make a great feature, and we will keep you posted as we hear more about the new features coming out. I do understand that this might seem like an odd feature for WhatsApp to introduce, but hey, anything to make the overall user experience better, no?

What other features would you expect WhatsApp to add to the app? Let us know what you are looking forward to in the comments below.
