Digital Extremes' popular sci-fi MMO Warframe has made it to yet another platform following its arrival on Android devices last month. Today, the game officially arrived on Nintendo Switch 2, and more importantly for current Warframe fans, the game's latest major content update, The Shadowgrapher, arrived on all platforms. For more about the making of the Nintendo Switch 2 version, check out Wccftech's interview with Megan Everett.

Its arrival on Switch 2 means that there is now a native version of Warframe playable on every major platform, and its cross-save and cross-platform support means you can quite literally play Warframe wherever you play your games.

"Warframe is officially live on every major gaming platform with cross-play and save, which feels absolutely wild to say about a game in its 13th year," said creative director Rebecca Ford, in a press release. "Creating a seamless gameplay experience for millions of players who can become friends from anywhere in the world on separate mobile devices, consoles, and PC is a development journey that blows my mind."

"Warframe's goal is, and always will be, to bring people together and give them a place to call home, where their day might end just a little better than it may have started. When the next console arrives, you can guarantee we will be there to meet our players."

Earlier this month, Digital Extremes broke down what players can expect in the new Shadowgrapher update, and in a new trailer today (which you can see below), showcased Follie, the latest Warframe added to the game and their abilities.

Warframe may not be the MMO you're always seeing break player count records, but MMO veteran Jack Emmert recently identified it as the game that other MMO developers should look towards, calling its model "the future of Western MMOs."
