The low-power variant for the budget RDNA 4 GPU is getting readied, but this one is from a brand you may not have heard of.

Vastarmor Showcases Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB LP Edition; Triple-Fan Low-Profile Design With 140W of TDP Rating

Not long ago, AMD quietly launched the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB LP (Low Power) edition, which is a nerfed variant of the standard version. The GPU, unlike the regular edition, consumes less power and also has some cut-down specs, such as the boost clock and some compute throughput at various precisions. However, most of the stuff remains identical, including the shader count, memory, bandwidth, memory interface, etc.

For mainstream 2K gamers, if energy efficiency, video memory capacity and overall cost-effectiveness are important, then Vastarmor's newly released low-power graphics card is undoubtedly a new option worth paying attention to. (Machine Translated)

Vastarmor, a Chinese GPU brand and an official AMD board partner, has unveiled one of the custom editions of this GPU at the CES event. Vastarmor unveiled this triple-fan design and a low-profile heatsink, which makes the card quite compact. It measures just 172mm in length, making it fit for compact builds without much of a downgrade. The RX 9060 XT LP brings 69 x 172 x 39 mm dimensions, and only uses dual-slot thickness in the chassis. The fans are quite small, measuring just 55 mm in diameter.

At the I/O, there are three display output ports, including 2x DP 2.1a and 1x HDMI 2.1b. As you may have expected, it's shipped with a single 8-pin power connector similar to most regular RX 9060 XT editions. However, the TDP has now dropped from 160 W to 140 W, making it slightly more power-efficient. This brings a smaller headroom for overclocking, but efficiency is the major reason why the GPU exists.

As for the specs, the RX 9060 XT LP features the same 2,048 stream processors and 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM capacity, all supported by a 128-bit memory bus. Therefore, the memory bandwidth is almost similar to the standard variant. However, the boost clock speed is 3050 MHzcompared to 3130 MHz on the non-LP variant.

Vastarmor hasn't announced the price of the card and given that the company sells GPUs only in China, this particular edition won't be available outside of it. As far as the availability of the RX 9060 XT LP is concerned, the global AMD page already lists it, which indicates that the GPU might be released in more parts of the world either as a standalone product or through system integrators.
