A store display shows the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU with a 'Rollback' sign and a reduced price of $145 from $359, alongside boxed units in a shopping bag.

You don't see these deals everyday, and this is one of the craziest ones we have seen so far for the AM5 platform.

Redditor Grabs AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D for Just $145 and Ryzen 5 7600X For Only $75 From Local Walmart

The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D sells for around $350 on Amazon, which, even though it is significantly lower than its launch price, is still a hefty price tag for most. Being one of the best gaming processors, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D sees huge demand, which is why users are willing to pay over $300 for this chip. However, our fellow u/Captain_Polar found a gold deal on the processor at his local Walmart store.

Walmart deals are quite popular because occasionally, people are able to find much lower prices than in other stores. However, this particular Walmart store went crazy with discounts and offered the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D for just $145. The list price was $359, as you can see from the pic, but the Redditor was able to snag it for less than half its listed price. For $145, you can hardly buy an 8-core processor from the Ryzen 5000 series, let alone a Ryzen 7000 8-core chip, and that too an X3D variant.

The Redditor didn't leave the other discounted processor on the shelf and managed both for just $220. This was the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, which was listed at just $75 while its official listed price was $185. Ryzen 7600X continues to sell for around $170-$180 at most retailers, and the user was able to grab it for less than half its price. The user also said that he routinely checks his local stores for such deals, and we have seen many times how a clearance deal may get you major discounts on popular items.

This is why it's always best to check your local Walmart, Costco, and Micro Center stores before you proceed to buy PC hardware. In some cases, your local clearance stores may have even better deals, as we have previously seen how a user was able to grab a sealed-pack box of an RTX 4060 Ti for just $12.
