Ultra Street Fighter II

Earlier this week, it's been confirmed that Ultra Street Fighter II, the latest version of the classic fighting game developed by Capcom coming to Nintendo Switch, will feature a first person mode where players will be able to take advantage of some of the unique features of the Joy-Con controllers. Today, footage for this mode has emerged online.

The new Ultra Street Fighter II gameplay footage, which has been shown during the latest episode of the Capcom TV livestream, includes both regular and first person mode sequences. Sadly, this first person view mode doesn't seem particularly deep, but we will only known for sure once the game releases.

Ultra Street Fighter II will include, alongside the first person view mode, two new playable characters that were never playable in previous iterations of the classic fighting game.

For the first time in nearly 20 years, since Super Street Fighter II, two new characters join the fight; Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. This version of Ryu has succumbed to the Satsui no Hado and is now obsessed with fighting in order to prove he is the strongest. His former honorable self has been purged, allowing him to enjoy absolute power and embrace an unquenchable bloodthirst for battle.

Violent Ken is the result of M. Bison kidnapping and brainwashing Ken, enhancing his abilities with Psycho Power and twisting his brotherly rivalry with Ryu into hatred. Violent Ken is more ruthless, aggressive, and fearless with moves that feature purple flames instead of his signature fire.

Ultra Street Fighter II launches on Nintendo Switch on a yet to be confirmed date. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
