Pixel 8a U.S. Price Leaked, You Won't Have to Pay a Lot of Money, Two Variants Confirmed

The Pixel 8a is coming out next month at Google I/O 2024. It will be an affordable take on the excellent Pixel 8 devices that are already available. Over the past couple of months, we have seen a plethora of leaks and interesting information surrounding the device, and they just keep piling up. Now, a new leak spills almost everything that you need to know about Google's upcoming phone.

Based on the marketing material, the Pixel 8a appears to be a very promising device

Our friends over at Android Headlines managed to get their hands on some new information about the Pixel 8a. All the information they got is from marketing material, which is more or less confirmation of what Google is going to bring to the table. If you are looking for some confirmation, this leak confirms almost everything that you need to know.

As you can see from the image above, the Pixel 8a will offer AI-based camera features, including Best Take, Audio Magic Eraser, and Night Sight. If you are familiar with Pixel devices, this should not come as a surprise to you because Google's features work really, really well, and I am glad that the company is bringing these features to a more affordable device, too.

Next up, Google has also showcased that the Pixel 8a is going to bring other AI enhancements as well, such as Call Assist, email summary, and Circle to Search. Hopefully, these are just the highlight features, and there are going to be more from Google once we move forward.

Google also sheds light on the specs that it is going to feature on the Pixel 8a. The phone will bring Tensor G3, fast charging for an "all-day" battery, and noise cancellation when you are on phone calls. These features are more than expected from Pixel devices as they have become a standard for some time.

The Pixel 8a is also going to feature VPN by Google One, which is the same thing that Google killed recently. You are also looking at IP67 dust and water resistance, and there is also a promise of seven years of security updates. Last but not least, the phone is scheduled to be released on May 16th, later this year, which is something that you can find on the home screens in one of the renders.

Considering how Google I/O 2024 is going live on May 14th, it makes sense for Google to release the Pixel 8a two days after the event. The phone will be available in four colors, Black, Bay, Mint, and Porcelain, and should be available in multiple storage options this time around. We are also expecting the device to start at $500 for the base variant and then go above for more RAM and storage.
