Tile Backs Off as the Company Currently Has No Plans of Launching a Find My Device Network-Supported Tracker

Now that Google's Find My Device network is finally available for everyone to use. One would think that manufacturers would be lining the market with the products, but that appears to be not the case. Yesterday, we shared a list of supported trackers and products that support the latest network, and now it appears that Tile, a company famous for its trackers has backed off and will not be making trackers that support this network.

Tile is not working on any Find My Device network-supported tracker, but don't lose hope

Now, for those wondering, the reason why this is news-worth is that Tile did commit last year that it would be one of the companies to release trackers that would support Google's Find My Device network, but it now appears that it is not going to be the case as the company has officially commented that it will not be releasing the trackers, at least for now.

A Tile spokesperson reached out and talked about how the company is currently not working on trackers that support Google's Find My Device network. The reason behind this is that the company is currently working on creating a  “cross-platform solution that enables location-based finding of people, pets, and things."

This means that we are not going to be seeing trackers from Tile that support Google's Find My Device network. However, the company did not ask you to lose all hope, as this is what the statement reads, “we have a great working relationship with Google and look forward to future partnerships."

What this means is that we could see a Tile tracker that also supports Google's Find My Device network sometime in the future, but for now, you are not going to get your hands on a tracker soon. This should not be a letdown because there are already some excellent trackers available in the market that can leverage this network, with more trackers coming soon. So, you can always look into other offerings. As far as Tile's integration, if the company changes its stance in the future, we will be sure to let you know about the new releases that do support the network.
