Samsung is all set to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Z Flip 6 in July, and so far, we have heard some really interesting details about the phones. There is also a lot of evidence suggesting that Samsung will release a fan edition variant of perhaps both devices. The one rumor that we don't talk about enough is that there could be a Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, which has made it to the internet several times, but nothing concrete has come up yet.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra could come only in specific regions as Samsung works on a more premium foldable phone
Newly surfaced information now talks about how the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra is, in fact, a reality, but the report also states that the phone will see a very limited release. Let's start by explaining what makes this Ultra variant a reality. GalaxyClub reports how the phone carries the model number SM-F958N. Now, this is nothing surprising, but if you have been keeping yourself updated with Samsung's releases and model numbers, the phone models that end with the number 8 are usually the Ultra variants. Just take the Galaxy S24 Ultra, with the model number SM-S928B, or the Galaxy S23 Ultra, with the model number SM-S918B, and you will get the idea.
Now, the existence of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra is certainly good news, but we must understand that the other part of the report suggests that Samsung might release this phone in very few regions. Currently, the only model number that has been spotted is for the South Korean market, and there is no sign of the model numbers for European and American markets, which might be a letdown for many people.
However, it is too early to say anything about the Galaxy Fold 6 Ultra, and something tells me that Samsung might not release it in July when other foldable phones are coming out. The whole idea of a foldable Ultra is confusing to me because the phone already costs so much; releasing an Ultra variant will only bump up the price even more, and some people might not be okay with the idea behind that.
Do you think Samsung really needs to come out with a Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, or should the company focus on releasing a standard variant and a Fan Edition variant? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
