Latest Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 Rumor Points to Disappointing Cameras on the Back

If everything goes according to plan, we will get the reveal of Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 sometime in August and September. The fifth generation Samsung foldable is indeed hyped, as many expectations are tied to these upcoming phones. In the future, we will also be hearing a lot of leaks about the devices, giving us some information on what the phones will be all about, and today, we have something new.

Galaxy Z Fold 5 to feature a 6.2-inch external display as Samsung decides to improve the mechanism instead the design

Based on a tweet from a renowned tipster, it appears that the external display of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will remain unchanged in terms of screen size. This means that the external display will still be at 6.2 inches as it has remained for some time. While this might be small news, this leads us to believe there is perhaps enough reason to believe that the same will be true with the internal screen size.

Sure, this might be a reason for many to be outraged, but Samsung has reasons for this. If you are keeping up with the company and the phones that it is releasing, we see new smartphones from the South Korean tech giant but without a lot of changes to the design. This all started with the Galaxy S23 series, which looks nearly identical to the Galaxy S22 series. As a matter of fact, the Galaxy S23 Ultra could be mistaken for the Galaxy S22 Ultra despite the fact that there is a slight difference in the dimensions of both phones. This could very well be why Samsung sticks to the same screen size on the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

A lot of people were hoping that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be the next big thing in terms of foldable evolution, but so far, it does not appear so, at least not in terms of design. Aside from the same screen size as last year, the phone will not ship with an S Pen due to design limitations. So why bother with the phone? Well, we do know that upcoming foldable phones from Samsung will use a new waterdrop hinge that will not only provide durability but will also ensure that the gap between the screen is zero when it is folded, along with a lot less noticeable display crease.

Whatever the case might be, we will have to wait to see an official confirmation from Samsung, but if this news is true, then this certainly is a bummer for those who were waiting for a proper upgrade.
