I like how Samsung is going to have multiple wearables this year, including the Galaxy Watch 7 series. One would think that with the launch of the Galaxy Ring, Samsung would not be paying enough attention to its smartwatches, but that is not the case because it appears that the company is gearing up to launch three variants this time, and the series is also getting a storage bump so that certainly is a nice thing.
Galaxy Watch 7 series could finally compete with the Apple Watch series as Samsung is planning a premium model and more storage this time around
Now, the third variant of the Galaxy Watch 7 could be the Ultra variant that has been in the rumors for some time. Samsung will be launching all the watches in both Wi-Fi only and eSIM variants. Another exciting reveal that we have found out about suggests that Samsung is upping the storage on the new watches to 32GB. In addition to that, the model numbers have also leaked and are as follows:
- SM-L300 and SM-L305 for the base variant
- SM-L310 and SM-L315 for the Pro variant
- SM-L700 and SM-L705 for the Ultra variant
It is worth noting that the Galaxy Watch 7 naming scheme could be different, as we are not really aware of anything else as far as the watches are concerned. For those who are interested in the final release, these watches are scheduled to be launched at the next major Galaxy Unpacked, which is supposed to take place sometime in July. Aside from these watches, Samsung will also unveil the new Galaxy Z series devices, the Galaxy Ring, and possibly the Galaxy Buds as well.
Details about the Galaxy Watch 7 series are scarce at the moment, but we can assure you that as we move closer to the final release date, we will learn a lot more about the watches, and you will be able to look at the renders as well. We will just have to wait for the official press renders to start leaking, and then we will have all the information you need about these watches and other Samsung devices.
I am really glad that Samsung is actually doing something better with the Galaxy Watch 7 series. The Wear OS market for smartwatches is slowly growing, and it is about time that we are getting a more expensive and premium smartwatch running Wear OS.
