- The vehicle exploded in close proximity to the Trump Las Vegas hotel.
- The driver has been confirmed as dead. Other injuries have been reported.

- Elon Musk has confirmed the attack but added that the Tesla senior team was still "investigating this matter."
Elon Musk has said:
Cybertruck is the worst possible choice for a car bomb, as its stainless steel armor will contain the blast better than any other commercial vehicle

Of course, the Tesla Cybertruck is an illogical choice when it comes to pyrotechnics, given its stainless steel frame.
While it is too early for any solid leads, the incident's purported connection to Elon Musk and Trump is hard to miss, especially as it comes just weeks before president-elect Trump is slated to assume office. Bear in mind that the CEO of Tesla will co-lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the incoming Trump administration 2.0.
We will continue to update this post with pertinent details.
Update: "All Vehicle Telemetry Was Positive At The Time Of The Explosion"
We have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself.

Elon Musk has just confirmed that there was no internal fault within the Cybertruck that exploded in front of the Trump Las Vegas hotel. The CEO of Tesla has identified "very large fireworks and/or a bomb" as the likely culprit behind this incident.
Moreover, CNN is now reporting that the Cybertruck had been rented from the car rental company Turo. The vehicle contained fireworks, gas tanks, and camping fuel, all connected to a detonation system.
