More high-end OLED displays have arrived, bringing superb image quality, high fluidity, and excellent specifications through the integration of fourth-gen WOLED panels.
TCL Introduces OLED+ Pro Gaming Monitors, Offering Up To 4K@240Hz Mode Using 4th Gen WOLED Panels
Popular Chinese display maker TCL has brought new gaming monitors to the high-end segment. The new series is called OLED+ Pro X3B, which brings two flagship models: 32-inchthe 32X3B and the 27-inch 27X3B gaming monitors. Both are equipped with the latest OLED+ technology to drastically improve image quality by addressing common OLED limitations.
Both gaming monitors boast dual-mode configurations, allowing switching to a higher or a lower resolution as needed. The flagship 32X3B monitor can deliver a 240 Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution, but up to 480 Hz at full HD. This makes it ideal for both Triple-A titles and eSports gaming, while the 27X3B brings only QHD resolution with up to a 280 Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for both competitive and immersive gaming experiences.
The gaming monitors utilize the fourth-generation WOLED panels that can reach a good 1,500 nits of peak brightness and 335 nits of full-screen brightness for vivid details. The company claims that the monitors can deliver 99.5% DCI-P3 color coverage for vibrant visuals and true 10-bit color depth for displaying over 1 billion colors. Moreover, the monitors boast excellent color accuracy with Delta E < 1 factory calibration, making them perfect for professional tasks.
A notable feature of these monitors is the presence of OLED+ technology that reduces the common OLED issues such as purple tinting, grayish blacks, and colored text fringing. TCL has introduced a 1.1% low-reflecting coating to reduce glare while preserving vibrant colors and deep blacks. A new Matrix-Pure pixel layout is also utilized for improving text clarity.
For connectivity, these are equipped with HDMI 2.1 and DP 2.1 ports to handle uncompressed visuals, but details such on peripheral connectivity are unknown. That said, the company has done a great job by collaborating with Bang & Olufsen to integrate front-facing speakers that can come in handy.
TCL has priced the OLED+ Pro 32X3B at 6,499 Yuan or US$959 and the OLED+ Pro 27X3B at 3,699 Yuan or US$546. Both models are available for purchase in China.
