ASRock has expanded its OLED monitor lineup by launching another OLED gaming monitor in the mid-range segment.
ASRock Launches Phantom Gaming PGO27QSA Monitor, Featuring QD-OLED Display With 2K@240Hz Mode and 0.03 ms Response Time
Popular hardware maker ASRock doesn't have many OLED monitors in its monitor lineup, but it has just started to add more models recently. It only has like three OLED displays, which are aimed at the mid-range segment, and has added one more to the arsenal in the same tier. However, the monitor will be available in two variants, featuring different color schemes (black and white).
It's the Phantom Gaming PGO27QSA, which features a QD-OLED display panel for deep blacks, vibrant, and color accurate images. The monitor offers a flat panel on a 27-inch display and boasts 2560x1440p resolution with up to a 240 Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. This configuration is ideal for both immersive and competitive gaming, and considering it's highly responsive with just 0.03 ms response time, it's excellent for eSports gaming.
Moreover, AMD FreeSync Premium will ensure tear-free gaming, which allows a more pleasant gaming experience. The PGO27QSA is equipped with ASRock Low Blue Light Technology to protect eyes from fatigue, allowing gamers to play for longer sessions. As far as the color reproduction is concerned, the PGO27QSA is going to be a vibrant display through 99% DCI-P3 color gamut and is also color accurate, as it delivers Delta E < 2 color accuracy out of the box.
Overall, the specifications appear on par with other mid-range QD-OLED gaming monitors available in the market, but pricing will determine its success. ASRock monitors are usually priced lower than competitive displays from other vendors, and hopefully, this goes for around $400 or lower. ASRock hasn't disclosed the official price tag for the monitor yet, and availability will be limited to a few regions at the moment.
