Got the new Google's Pixel or Pixel XL? It's time you dive right into it and show off what the brand new smartphone and its exclusive software features can do. But, uh oh. You have to be able to take screenshots to start doing that. Don't worry as Google has made it super easy to capture your Pixel's screen and show it off to the world. Here's how you can take screenshots on Google Pixel and Pixel XL.
How to take screenshots on Google Pixel and Pixel XL
- Go to the app or screen that you want to capture on your Pixel or Pixel XL.
- Hold down the Power and the Volume Down keys at the same time for a few seconds.
- You’ll see an animation of the screenshot appear and quickly fade out.
In the Photos app, tap on the three-line menu button in the top left > click on Devices folder > and then click on the cloud icon next to the Screenshots folder. For easier access to your latest screenshot, you can also pull down the notification bar to see the captured screenshot.
How to take screenshots with Google Assistant
Sadly, Google Assistant doesn't allow you to take screenshots using your voice - as yet. This feature inclusion in a future update will help users to get rid of these pesky Volume-Power combos to take screenshots on Google Pixel - or even other Android devices.
We do hope to see this feature coming to Google Assistant soon. Until then, you will have to do with the hardware keys.
