Nintendo Switch Firmware update 5.0.0 has been mentioned following a new iOS update for the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app.

As spotted by Twitter user Wario64, the parental controls app update mentions that in order to use the new features included with the update, players will need to update the Switch to system version 5.0.0 or later. Since the Switch is currently running software version 4.1.0., this would imply that a firmware update is inbound for the Nintendo’s latest platform.

Nintendo Switch software version 4.1.0 was deployed back in December of last year, and offered general system stability improvements to enhance the player experience.
