Following the release of the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Insider 01 developer diary earlier this month, Rocksteady is now slowly posting brief introductory videos of the game's playable cast.

A few hours ago, the developer uploaded a video dedicated to George Harkness, AKA Captain Boomerang, a confrontational coward who has been embarrassed by the Flash more times than he can count.

In the DC Comics, Captain Boomerang first appeared in The Flash #117, published in December 1960. His original background is of an Australian man who tried to make a living as a performer and boomerang promoter but was only ridiculed for his attempts. As such, he eventually turned to using his skill with boomerangs for a life of crime.

In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Captain Boomerang will actually only use his trademark weapon for close proximity attacks, while he picks from sniper rifles, SMGS, and shotguns for regular combat. His traversal method is a Speed Force Gauntlet that Captain Boomerang steals early in the game from the Hall of Justice, as shown in the previously mentioned developer diary. It allows him to teleport around close distances and sprint forward out of danger.

Rocksteady had previously shared introductory videos of Harley Quinn (which we shared in our report on the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Closed Alpha Test) and of King Shark.

The humanoid shark, also known as Nanaue, is a demigod with enough power to go toe to toe with Kryptonians like Superboy and Superman, as his bite is said to be able to pierce their near-indestructible skin. In the game, he traverses the environment with huge jumps and can perform a powerful 'death from above' area of effect attack. King Shark is the toughest character thanks to his damage resistance and is also equipped with heavy weapons, assault rifles, shotguns for ranged combat as well as cleavers, sickles, and combat knives for melee.

The only character left to introduce is Deadshot. At this rate, we could be getting his introductory video before the end of the week.

Rocksteady promised new information would drop at a steady rate ahead of the scheduled February 2, 2024, release date on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. Stay tuned for all the latest Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League updates.
