Created by modder 'Revan', the "8K Planets" mod for the PC version of Starfield adds new layers to the original textures of the game's planets and AI-upscales textures from 4K to 8K resolution. In addition, the mod includes original NASA textures from the Moon, Mars, Venus, and Jupiter.

Starfield is available worldwide now for PC and Xbox Series X|S.  As covered some days ago, Betheda's new sci-fi RPG already surpassed 6 million players across all platforms, and in the UK, the game is off to a great start, topping last week's retail sales chart.

Here's what we wrote about Starfield in our Starfield launch review: "With an engaging story, well-developed characters and lore, and a huge amount of meaningful content, Starfield is one of Bethesda's finest games and one of the best role-playing games released in the past few years."
